Sometimes the Java icon appears in my system tray, even when I am not using a Java based program, and the icon doesn't provide any details about what process on my computer is using it. I don't want to just hide the icon. Sometimes the icon lingers for hours, and sometimes it appears and stays when there are almost no processes running.
How can I find more information on how Java is being used on my system?
How can I find what program is running Java on my system?
i guess it's the Java-runtime autoupdate which is started with your system at boot-time. try the "codestuff starter" (http://codestuff.mirrorz.com) to easily determine which programs are started at boot-time/login
