Why is my java moss growing mold?

We have had a large growth of java moss growing on a peice of driftwood for about 10 months now. For some reason, when we moved it from our 38 gallon tank to our 55 gallon, and now there is a white, mold-like substance growing on the outer-most ends of the moss. Is it mold? What am I doing wrong that this is happening? It isn't food or anything... the fish do a great job of cleaning all of that off... it looks just like white mold. Has anyone experienced this before?

Why is my java moss growing mold?
if it is mold, it;s because there is too much sun light

sun + water = algae, mold stuff like that

try to get the tank out of the sunlight...but i don;t think it is mould...but try cutting those bits off and moving the tank out of sun light
