My 7 month old has black lines on each side of it's head, but it's been like that for 4 months. The rest is still white.
At what age does a java finch head becomes totally black?
at this age it is probably going to stay that color. It may change when it molts for the first time next year. But for now it sounds like the color is there to stay.
