Can anybody tell me how and where (appropriate place in html codes) to insert some other html codes or java script while desining a web page(design mode) in dreamweaver 8. Suppose I want to insert "bookmark this page script, linking codes of other websites or adveritisers codes in a webpage (design mode) although I know dreamweaver also provides a code view. But what I am asking is where to place these codes and proper way of doing this.

Put them between these tags, which can be placed in the header or the body (You can use Dreamweaver's source editing mode):

%26lt;/script%26gt;
And a note to everyone: Please STOP using "codes" (plural) - code is not a discrete noun in this sense.
